Nataly Acevedo, RMHCI

Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern

Hello, I’m Nataly Acevedo, a bilingual (Spanish & English), Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern with a passion for creating a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where individuals can explore their inner world, navigate life’s challenges, and work toward personal goals. Through my experience working with children, adolescents, young adults, adults, and geriatric populations, I have learned that every individual’s struggle is unique, complex, and deserving of care and attention—no matter how it may appear.

I understand that seeking support and navigating personal challenges can feel overwhelming or intimidating. My priority is to provide compassionate, ethical, and professional care that empowers individuals to build upon their inner strengths and supports them throughout their healing journey. I utilize an integrative approach grounded in evidence-based practices to ensure that treatment is personalized and aligned with each client’s specific needs. Evidence-based practices and interventions include, but are not limited to, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, mindfulness-based techniques, and Traumatic Incident Reduction (TIR). Additionally, I incorporate a trauma-informed lens when appropriate, prioritizing safety, collaboration, and respect to foster lasting growth.

I believe that healing is not a one-size-fits-all process, and I am committed to meeting each individual where they are with empathy, curiosity, and intention. My goal is to walk alongside clients as they develop insight, resilience, and the tools needed to move forward with confidence and clarity.
